CLASS NOTES
2023
Dr. Oleg Shvartsur, Issaquah, Wash.: We had another 425 Smiles event with UW dental students and faculty, together with PMI Hygiene School. We had UWSOD Grad Perio/Pros work with us to help the community – Dr. Ansong (Pros) and Dr. Luciana Safioti (UW Perio), who are also our specialty doctors. We also had UWSOD’s Dr. Edgar Mesina as a volunteer, as well as our GP’s who are all UW grads: Dr. Samuel Snipes (’21), Dr. Nikole Shvartsur (’13) and myself (’11). (Spring 2023)
2022
Dr. Oleg Shvartsur, Issaquah, Wash.: Our practice, 425 Dental, was proud to host 425 Smiles on April 16 in partnership with the UW School of Dentistry and PMI Dental Hygiene Program. It was a free dental clinic designed to help those in need receive dental care. Through the combined efforts of 425 Dental’s staff, UW and PMI students and faculty, sponsors Delta Dental of Washington, Columbia Bank, Burkhart Dental Supply, and Henry Schein Dental, and all of our other volunteers, nearly 60 patients were provided with dental care. This included routine exams, fillings, root canals, and other care across dental specialties. We are now planning this as a semiannual event, with the next clinic on Oct. 22. For more information, please contact Community@425Dental.com.
2016
Dr. Oleg Shvartsur, Issaquah, Wash.: As some of you may know, over the last year we’ve had a lot of new changes in our personal and professional lives. Last year we embarked on a major project to renovate and expand our entire office. As the construction now comes to a close, it’s clear that we couldn’t have made it through this exciting yet challenging time without the love and support from all of you! Our open house party took place on June 9. This was an opportunity to celebrate the completion of the new space and share this accomplishment with everyone who played a role along the way. We also welcomed a new addition to our family on April 2, Sawyer Vance Shvartsur. Sammy is excited to be a big brother and both Sawyer and Nikki are doing well. (Fall 2016)
2015
Dr. Danielle Stimson, Cut Bank, Mont.: Dr. Stimson is now Dr. Danielle Kennedy. A group of classmates from 2011 and 2010 traveled to Montana to celebrate her wedding to Jeremiah Kennedy. Dr. Kennedy is working back home on the Blackfeet reservation at Blackfeet Indian Health Services. (Spring 2015)
REUNIONS
10th Reunion
The Class of 2011 had a 10-year reunion on Aug. 20-21. On Friday night the class met at Tavern Hall in Bellevue. Some of their favorite faculty members attended with them, and it was a great time to socialize. On Saturday, the reunion met a Maggiano’s for a more formal dinner. It was great to gather and catch up. – Oleg Shvartsur (Fall 2021)
