CLASS NOTES
2023
Dr. Michael W. Johnson, Bellevue, Wash.: After practicing dentistry for 40 years and prosthodontics in Bellevue for 30 years, I have sold my Bellevue practice to my nephew, Dr. Russell Johnson, DDS, UW Class of 2012, MS Texas San Antonio Prothodontics in 2015 and MS in UW Periodontics 2018. I am still working 2 days a week in the Bellevue practice and part time with my partner, Dr. Michael Brooks, in our Spokane Valley practice. I am also keeping busy helping to manage a dental lab, Pacific Northwest Prosthodontic Laboratory, a commercial full service implant oriented dental lab, in Bellevue. Melinda and I have been married for 38 years, have two children and 4 granddaughters, 17, 15 and twin 4 year olds. So between family, golf, and traveling, I’m not using my easy chair very much. I wish everyone a Happy New Year and thank you so much for 30 years of wonderful specialty practice! (and not done yet!) (Spring 2023)

Dr. Michael Lawr, Montesano, Wash.: My daughter, Sara Lawr, graduates from the UW School of Dentistry this Spring. (Fall 2015)
Dr. Karen Sorenson, Kearney, Neb.: With the help of a big-hearted pediatric dentist who provides me with a place to work, I continue to provide a no-fee children’s dental clinic to needy kids here in central Nebraska. My husband, Dick, has cut back on his own work schedule; we recently sold our Nebraska home and plan to return to Gig Harbor next summer. We’ll commute a bit. Our oldest daughter is a second-year dental student in Denver. We’re excited to watch her slip on her white coat. (We never had white coats – just those sock things that showed they’d been slept in. Dr. Phil Madden, Anacortes, Wash.: 1982 grads — our 30th reunion is coming! Plan on it in July 2012, to coincide with the PNDC annual meeting. (Fall 2009)

Dr. Tracy L. Adams, Bainbridge Island, Wash.: My daughters are off in college. Madison is a freshman at Whitman College and Mackenzie is a freshman in Veterinary School at Colorado State University. (Fall 2008)
